I was about 1 meter from subject - as you can see in the original - [link] and I guess that it was either amazingly calm or we both moved with the wind at the same moment because as you can see the clarity is beyond what I am capable of most of he time.

Wow, okay first of all, all you're work is very striking, in a dramatic way. It's very hard to ignore these pieces.
The detail you have put into the first image with the insect is incredible. Normally I hate looking at bugs. I have a bit of a phobia actually. But this is just really beautiful. The composition is dead on. You have this strong diagonal of the insect working in your favor. The wings are whimsical looking, for lack of a better term. I definitely have more appreciation for nature after looking at this photo. I even like that the plant that it's resting on is imperfect, because too often an artist likes to beautify everything. Something doesn't have to be beautiful to be striking. The wilted plant really adds to the piece and only brings the insect into better light.
absolutely gorgeous - the wings are just amazing in this shot - as if they were windows. You've captured an insect I'll admit I'm not that fond of and made it beautiful - such vibrant colours and delicacy need to be commended!
